E-Waste once collected through buy back schemes, door to door pick-ups and from collection centres is brought to our recycling unit by our Reverse Logistic partner. E-waste is then segregated according to their working condition and end of life. Products which are in a condition to be repaired are refurbished and any faulty part is replaced to extend the product life.
Products which are damaged or used completely are then dismantled and segregated according to their nature of material such as metals, non-metals, glass, plastics and hazardous. Metals are melted at our in-house furnaces and converted to ingots. Plastics are again segregated according to their different kinds, are then shredded and remoulded into raw plastic grains which could be used for re-manufacturing goods. Any Hazardous substance is incinerated into a closed chamber, the smoke is then passed through water and is let out through a chimney. Water is then treated though an ETP plant as per norms set out by CPCB. Hence, all E-waste is either Re-used or Recycled back to Raw material. The 3rd ‘R’ i.e. ‘REDUCE’ needs to be taken care at an individual level, we request everyone to reduce the use of electronics and to try to create an sustainable ecosystem around us.
